Justin Timberlake 'Seriously' Considering Elton John Role

Elton John calls JT '#1 on my wish list' to portray him in upcoming biopic.

Justin Timberlake

We may not be 100 percent sure of his current relationship status, but we can confirm that Justin Timberlake is getting very serious with Elton John.

We think. In response to John's claims that Timberlake is "#1 on my wish list" to portray the singer in an upcoming biopic — he told the Los Angeles Times that JT's portrayal of him in the David LaChapelle-directed "This Train Don't Stop There Anymore" video was "superb" — Timberlake is apparently "seriously" weighing the role, according to E! Online.

"Justin is taking it very seriously," a source "close to the singer" told E!'s Ted Casablanca. "He's working with his people to figure out exactly how to respond."

Casablanca also writes that "a very official response will be coming from Camp Timberlake momentarily," though, at press time, that response had yet to materialize.

In his Times interview, John said the film version of his life is "very much in the works," with a script penned by Lee Hall ("Billy Elliot") and an unnamed director "onboard." He also said that the biopic would be far different from the average Hollywood fare, which, given John's larger-than-life existence, shouldn't really be all that shocking.

"It's going to be a surreal look at my life, and not just a factual look at my life, more in the manner of a 'Moulin Rouge!' " John said. "I just don't want it to be a normal biopic because my life hasn't been like that. And it only goes up to when I go into rehab in 1990. It starts with me going into rehab and ends when I come out."

High bodily levels of nickel and selenium may lower pancreatic cancer risk

High bodily levels of the trace elements nickel and selenium may lower the risk of developing the most common type of pancreatic cancer, finds research published online in Gut.

Similarly, high levels of lead, arsenic, and cadmium could boost the likelihood of developing the disease, the study shows.

The researchers assessed 12 trace element levels in the toenails of 118 patients with exocrine pancreatic cancer-the most common form of the disease-and just under 400 hospital patients without cancer.

Analysis of the nail content showed that levels of certain trace elements were significantly higher or lower among the cancer patients than among patients in the comparison group. The higher or lower the level, the greater or lesser was the risk of having the disease.

Considering a WHS role, you should keep it to a bare minimum. Only the absolute essentials. Can I ask why you've installed it on a laptop?

Authorities: Eazy-E's son not killed in car wreck

Texas authorities said Saturday they mistakenly identified the son of the late NWA frontman Eazy-E as one of eight people killed in a two-car collision.

Department of Public Safety Trooper Ryan Case said Eric Wright Jr.'s name was on a rental agreement for one of the cars that collided Friday in East Texas. He says Wright was mistakenly listed as killed but actually was not involved in the wreck.

Wright, who raps under the stage name Lil' Eazy-E, posted on Twitter that close friends died. Those killed in the rental car were: Debra Thompson, Curtis Sanders, Michael Mathis and Lawrence Bridnac III.

Those killed in the other car were 29-year-old Sonia de la Torre and her three young children.

Case said investigators may never know what caused the collision. One of the vehicles crossed the center line, but it's not clear why.

The fiery wreck occurred on a curve about a mile outside of Annona, a town about 150 miles (240 kilometers) northeast of Dallas.

Authorities said there were no witnesses to the crash on a remote stretch of U.S. 82, and everyone in both vehicles were killed. There were no skid marks, and investigators do not know how fast the vehicles were traveling.

The eastbound car with the four California residents crossed a center line and struck de la Torre's westbound car. Her 8-year-old daughter Erica, 6-year-old son Saul Jr. and 10-month-old son Eric were riding with her.

Better news on the job market and home sales lifted stocks Thursday, pushing the Dow up 135 points. On Friday Ford reported that its sales topped 2 million this year for the first time since 2007. Ford rose 0.5 percent.

Markets will be closed Monday in observance of New Year's Day.
